Jump into our American black walnut slab collection and make your very own live edge bench/coffee table. You will receive one solid piece of black walnut measuring roughly 40" long x 16-18" wide x 1 3/8" thick. Patches and plugs, used to fill voids or cracks, will be added to your liking. This will entail light use of the router, and you will learn about template making. Next you will finish sand your piece, and add steel hairpin legs, which you can choose to blacken (pictured) and wax. Lastly, hand applied finishes will be discussed and demonstrated. You will head home with a small jar of tung oil finish and an amazing piece of furniture. No prior experience needed, all materials included.
